The Perfect Jeeping Day
« on: 09/30/11 - 06:47PM »
I want to know how you would build your ideal day of Jeeping!

Mud?
Rocks?
Road?
Top on?
Top off?
Hot?
Cold?
Specific trails or destinations?
And most importantly, what is there to eat?

Describe it by posting below.

Nice 70 deg day.

What's a top?

Tellico NC on Lower 2.

Eat??? Whatever you have to pack in because it's a 2hr wheel each way to start that trail.

Bout 75 sunny, nice cool breeze, top off of course. On any trail around Ouray Co. Hard to beat any lunch you pack and eat on the trail looking at the view from between 10,000---12,000 feet!

I Don't know Steve, after you bringing up Colorado I can only hope Flat Nasty is half as much fun as it was in the desert in Colorado with you all helping Ron and I find our way out of the Canyons!  I have high hopes for next week, and I recommend everyone join us to make it more fun!!

Wheeling Colorado is a blast!  I guess I'm an East Coast wheeler at heart.

Aaron,
Tell us more about Eastern Wheeling, I have a daughter that lives in Charleston WV and can only hope for a reason to haul the Jeep out East!

Yes Steve,
That was Calamity Canyon, I bet Aaron's rig just walked out of that wall that I scratched ond pawed with all I had to get out of.  Still a lot of fun though, of course all around that area is just covered with fun trails.  Here is a quick photo of you coming up Poughkeepsie Gulch, just another fun day of wheeling

I know a couple of them, but it was before I had even owned a jeep.  Die Tryin was the one I remember the most.

So that everyone is on the same page, Flat Nasty on Saturday was up there with the ideal Jeeping Day.

The only change would be more time on the trail and not so much I had to get back home to do.

Good times were had by all!

The perfect day for me is less about the terrain and more about  the company. Who was it that said it is not the destination but the journey?
Top off definitely food eat what you bring not spending all day repairing or recovering jeeps that's a good day
