August SMORR wounded warrior trail run
« on: 06/16/09 - 12:40PM »
We'll soon begin to notify local Vet homes and the (WTU) Warrior Transition Unit at the Ft Leonard Wood base hospital, it helps the wounded transition to civilian life or stay in after an injury.
We will look to local (DAV) Disabled American Veterans and of course any local (VFW) Veterans of Foreign Wars you know could all be asked if they have or know of military men and women who would like to ride with someone. There is also the VA hospital in Columbia and the hme in ST James.

" I am a Warrior in Transition.
My job is to heal as I transition
back to duty or continue serving the nation
as a Veteran in my community.
This is not a status, but a mission.
I will succeed in this mission because
I AM A WARRIOR AND I AM ARMY STRONG!"

Is there a date for this yet I am in no matter when since I am a Disabled Vet and would love to help out in any kway I can feel free to email me any help you need dawgnyall@yahoo.com.  This is  great thought might also want to include spouses and dependents of even soldiers that just got back from duty over seas.  I could even post something up at Mt Vernon the clinic and there is also the retirement home out there as well.

Ozark Mountain 4x4 is hosting this still. I havent heard anything new from anyone. The guys here talked about it at our show and shine and started to get the word out and help make something happen. Trying not to step on anyones toes while ensuring something happens.
