I concede.

slotted, drilled rotors, bad for Jeep... if not bad... useless.

Just going to go with some good hi-perf pads.

Thanks Larry... but don't they also cool down alot faster, have more breaking power, increase pad to rotor contact, and work better in wet weather and are generally better than standard rotors? That just all the stuff I've read about them.

yes they do but they are still for racing . where you are on the brake and gas at the same time.on the street you don't get the heat build up like racing does. better pads for the street yes.sloted and drilled rotor not really.if you want to speed your money on them go head. the slot and hole will get sand and mud in them offroad.

Wagner thermo-quiet pads.  I have them on all my trucks, the CYTJ, and I even put some on my mom's infiniti.  Never have had any problems with the pads and the price seems pretty good for most all applications.  And all these vehicles stop really really well. (almost too good sometimes.  >:D )  Just go to O-O-Reilly's and get em.  Just my $.02

You're supposed to change your break pads???
I'd put something funny here, but you probably wouldn't get it anyway...

Not when you use your clutch.....at 80,000 miles my OEM pads on the TJ are starting to get thin and are noticably getting weaker.  After this semester and college is OVER I'm upgrading my pads to either the Hawk HPS performance pads or the EBC green pads with some reg flat new rotors.   Just my .02 as well, let us know what you go with.
