new TJ owner from Pulaski CO.
« on: 06/19/10 - 01:38PM »
hello all. newbie from Waynesville here. Just bought a 98 wrangler sport and so far i have no complaints...well maybe one. I'm having an issue with the oil pressure. It will not hold good pressure at idle or under power, about 10-15. I'm thinking sending unit, or maybe pump? It doesn't knock, smoke or leak, so i haven't messed with it yet. Anyway back to the good stuff, i have a 4" Rough country series 2 lift waiting to be put on, and am on the hunt for a set of 33's and wheels for it. I'm glad i stumbled across a "local" forum and i will be a regular here. Now to try and figure out how to post pics.......

What weight oil are you running? Might try 20w-50 and see if that helps.
How many miles you have the engine?
i didnt see if you had the 4.0 or the 2.5?
i like shiny things

mine likes to fluctuate a lot when trailing but fairly steady on the road. I think  many TJ has a pressure issues.
