i need to add a trailer plug to my jeep, can anybody tell me how to do this?

I had to buy a special "Dealer Item" plug for mine. Call the dealership.

is it pretty easy to wire up? does it come with a wiring diagram?

I've never seen it, Heritage installed mine for free when I bought my Jeep. but basically it has to wire in on the drivers side and I believe it's plug and go... no splicing or anything, but the harness is or at least was a dealer item back in 2005.

I just pulled off the taillights and used a test light. spliced in the new trailer wiring. pretty quick and easy. took longer to remove lights than to check and splice wires.

1999 Jeep XJ, stock with HP30 and C8.25. I'm sure more will come as the money comes.

I believe they switched it to the drivers side in 2005, that is where mine is. Vap Can takes up all the space on the passenger side.
