Title: Help
Post by: gjgoodale on 02/16/13 - 02:03AM
I'm going to tow for the first time on the President's Run this upcoming weekend. I have the dual axle trailer but don't have tie downs purchased.  What is recommended to tow a YJ safely?  Also, any specific hitch I should use?

Greg by a small drop hitch rated around 10K.  You can pick them up cheap at Wal-Mart.  Also get a couple 2 or 3" wide ratchet straps to tie it down.  You can purchase those at Tractor Supply, Race Bros, or a big hardware store or truck stop.

sams club is about the best place to buy ratchet straps. usually less than $20 each. I would offer to let you use mine but they are in the tool box on my trailer. I am not real sure were the trailer is at the moment.

Does that really narrow it down between places tho?  LOL  I think that if you are up to no good that describes both of them equally!!
