Towing with a bronco
« on: 01/17/09 - 03:27PM »
Would a newer Bronco with a 302 or 351 be an adequate tow rig? I'm sure it wouldn't be the best but they look like they could handle a jeep. Anyone done it?

It will work fine, just remember it has a shorter wheelbase, so watch your speed.

Been there and done that.  It is much less capable then a similarly equipped 1/2 ton.  Bronco has shorter wheelbase and much softer springs.  If you do go that route you'll need top notch brake controller etc, but i'd avoid it if possible.
