Well after selling my last cummins and trying a stroke to get me by, I bought another cummins this week.
Pics to come later as well as updates with mods.
2000 3/4 ton cummins 4x4. Reg cab 5 speed. Already has a leveling kit and 285's, as well as a flip ball in the bed.

Saw your rig at the shop today, looked good, course I'm kinda partial to Dodges.
-
Yea it looks good.. truck does too
-
Kel is mad that you haven't brought it by, so I showed her the picture. So looks at it and goes - "it looks like the one across the street." LOL
-
cool deal, looks good
-
Gauges are on order... took a while why trying to finance a 60 as well!
-
Well the cummins is gone. Here is it's replacement.
03 quad cab 4x4 2500 with a hemi.
Just slapped some new 315/70/R17 BFG KO's on it.
-
Nice. If only it had a Cummins...
-
I would have spent another $10K and have a truck payment.
My plan is to swap this one for the same thing with a cummins in the next year or so.
-
Nice. 8)
Any particular reason for the change?
What is RTZ?
-
Lack of cab space last time I went home with dodge. No room for cargo and another person where it could all stay dry.
So I bought something that could tow and has lots of cab space. The downside is I went from getting 18-20mpg to 11-12 (no highway yet).

What it lacks in fuel economy it makes up for in looks department.
-
Fine looking truck... for a Dodge.
-
Not to mention POWER.... No more turbo lag! LOL.... It will smoke the new 35's with ease.
Thanks Jimmy

Did you end up doing any mods to the Cummins before you got rid of it?
Have you towed with it yet, how does it do?
-
Hey dude nice truck, just wanted to let you know your safe :18: this guy can get you back to town. :78:

Why would that thing come get me?
I have not towed with it yet, this is my first week driving it. Most likely will tow Saturday if I tow jeep to Farmington.
-
Just be careful towing in the snow, you wouldn't want to have a mishap and scratch up the Rubicon. :P
-
Why would that thing come get me?
For obvious reasons!

Welcome to the Hemi Club. Your membership card is also your debit card. Most all gas stations will accept it. No discounts though, kind of like the OJT membership card...
-
Ya, mileage is the trade off.
-
Are you saying that the HEMI will perform just as well as the Cummins when towing? :23:
-
Nope, but daily driving more fun lol.
-
hahaha. I bet!
-
Well I dumped the hemi. It did an adequate job, but wasn't something I was enjoying owning.
So here is my newest attempt at a tow rig.
02 F250 SuperDuty. 7.3litre powerstroke, auto, 4x4, leather, etc. Very comfy tow ho.

Nice...
-
Well...I kinda went a different route. I got rid of the Jeep for a tow rig. Now I guess I locked myself into building a new Jeep.
Traded the Rubicon for a 2006 F350 Crew Cab 4x4 Powerstroke. No pics yet, will try and get one posted up later.
