Does anyone work with HDPE white plastic that has some scrap laying around? I need a couple of pieces at least 1" thick and 3-4" round or square. I can cut/ mill to the size I need. I want to use this material as it's considered self lubricating as it wears when used in a friction application.
Thanks,
Keith

I know I can get this from PolyFab, but they want $25 for some small scrap. I wanna try this for cheaper, and yeah, I've checked eBay; $15 for 1-1/2" x 6" x 24". I might have to go that route.

Who's your Daddy?
Got some, Ill measure it and post a pic on saturday. It might be UHMW, or HDPE, or it may be Delrin. I m not sure, but I can lop you off a couple of pices. One way or another, the price is right.
Gimme an exact measurement of what you need.

A 4" by 8" piece would work.
Thanks,
Keith

Yeah, I think that plastic did come from the east.

Let me know Sanchez.
This is not for a Jeep, but for a snow plow to use as skid shoes so they don't scratch concrete and asphalt. The HDPE should also slide much easier than steel shoes. I don't know how long they might last like that, but as little snow we get it will be worth a shot.

You can order a piece from here. Just do a search for it.

That's cool Dick, whenever. Looks like we may never get any real measurable snow anyway...
