Memorial Day Memories
« on: 05/26/09 - 01:02AM »
Rolled 2 1/2 times off of the top ledge of Rocky Road. My dog Kaiser suffered a broken femur and is being operated on for that tomorrow (Tuesday). Myself and my good friend Greg are totally unscathed. Meeting with the insurance people this week to determine Ruby Lee's fate... I'm seeing some tube work in her future.  8)

Here are some pics: Ruby Lee Carnage

Glad to hear all people are ok.  My dog says she'll have thoughts for a good surgery.  Looks like those windsheild guards helped any?

No pics or video, was too busy taking care of Kaiser.

I'd say those windshield sliders are worth their weight in gold... They held up pretty good, I'd buy another set in a heartbeat. Having my full doors on helped too I'm sure. I'm totally amazing how well my top held up without caving in. Having just a stock cage and all.. seems like it should have.  Man upstairs must have been looking out for us.

Hey Jimmy - so glad that nobody was hurt.  Sorry about Kaiser, tho.

Hope that the insurance stuff comes out in your favor.

Kaiser is doing great.. his surgery was a success, Doc said his femur went back together perfectly... the did some wire mesh stuff on it that will bind with the bone as it grows back together and put in a pin that will have to be removed in 6 weeks. Since he is only 1 year old, he's expected to make a full recovery and will be catching frisbee again in no time.  8) Might take a couple boxes of "scooby snacks" to get him back in the Jeep though.   :P

Adjuster didn't make it today; but I did get to talk to him and if I do not buy Ruby back, then I will be able to keep all my stuff.

Here a couple pics to put a face with a name.

Ruby Lee will return.

Is that book that they gave you?  How do they determine what it takes to buy it back?  Is that negotiable?
Sorry for the questions, I'm just curious how all that works.
Now a fun question...What are your plans for her?
