Title: New Gears

I just put in new 4.56 gears in my TJ with a detroit  locker in the rear the manufacture recommends a 500 mile break in before any off road use. Others say 100 miles will be good. Any suggestions.

We always tell customers to follow the standard break in.  2 short drives of 20 miles or less allowing for cool down in between.  To allow 500 miles on the gears before towing, wheeling, or racing.  Then at 500 miles to service the fluid.
