CLUB RUN: March 10th - Eureka Springs Trail Ride

Where: Wheelin' World 4x4 Off Road Park, 10 Mint Ridge, Eureka Springs, AR 72632
When:  March 10th
Getting There:  Details will be discussed closer to the date.  We will make plans to meet up and travel to the park.
Details: Others have driven this park in the past.  It should be a good time exploring trails for all types of rigs.

The following items are required present on each vehicle to participate in club-sanctioned runs.

Section 1: Vehicle
         1. Seat belts.
         2. Roll bar for open top vehicles.
         3. Head lights.
         4. Brake lights.
         5. Valid license plate for that vehicle when on public property.
         6. Full size spare tire.
         7. Tow hooks or D-Ring Mount front and rear.

Hmm.

I just got the 'ok' from my wife to skip out on a day of her in-laws visiting, but this counts me out then.

When I put the dual tube bumpers on, I lost the tow hooks that were on the stock setup, and I don't have any d-rings.

yeah, I have to figure out what to do about the front.

I don't think you have to worry about front tow hooks down there. We could wrap a tow strap around the bumper if we had to.

According to Mrfast in the post above where he quoted the by-laws, they are required.


I took the fill plate off the bumper, and here is what I have to work with.  I was hoping I'd be able to finagle the stock hooks in there and cut the fill plate, but the tube bumper slides over the post too far.

Hi 67alecto don't worry about your front tow points on this run. This is a open club run for everybody! The rules I posted up earlier are for "club members" and if you have a front bumper we can wrap a strap around, you have a front tow point!

I should probably mention that I actually paid to join last Thursday - I haven't seen my status here get upgraded.

If I don't need front hooks, count me in.

In the meantime, I'm looking into a front hitch that I can put a d-ring on.  It just won't be on by this weekend.
