Timming on XJ ?????????
« on: 11/21/06 - 06:13PM »
I have got some wierd stuff going on with this thing. First I had a crank sensor go out, replaced it and the Xj worked fine. One week later the cam position sensor went out, changed that and it worked for about 3 days then Crank sensor went out agian. this time everything is replaced and now its out of time. I put the dist.  in the same way that it came out and now at 2.5 RPM it diesels pretty bad. I moved the dist. over bolth ways one tooth and it will not start , like its 180 out. any help would be great!
Thanks, Mike

Oh yeah OEM may be a little more expensive but you know you have a good part off the get go. Its cheaper and less frustrating in the long run. I learned my lesson.
