CJ making weird vibrations
« on: 11/15/07 - 09:40PM »
I have ran into another problem. When driving down the road my jeep makes a weird thumping noise and it gets worse as the faster you go. If you let out on the gas, then it stops. It feels and sounds like a tranny slipping but I dont think thats the problem. Taking off it has a slow thumping and the around sixty has mild vibrations and quick thuds. Sometimes I hear a clicking noise from somewhere thats loud when I back up. I have the torque flite 727 tranny and dana 300 tranfer case with a dana 30 up front and a dana 44 in the rear. I have put all new u joints and it still does it. Could this be the rear end? Any ideas? Thanks
