I was wondering if a straight six would bolt up to a 727 torqueflite transmission? Its currently mated with a 360 v8. I am wanting to go with a 6 and am curious. Thnks for any idea's!

It should. Was the 360/727 in the CJ originally? If so, should be a simple bolt up. I swapped my 258 that was mated to the T18 to a 304 with no problem in my CJ5.

Yeah if it a jeep 727 and you have the flex plate and torque converter for the 258. Heads up there are two different kinds of torque converters. locking, and non-locking.
