New here, looking for people to off-road with
« on: 11/11/05 - 09:16PM »
Just found your site. Don't exactly have a jeep but share the love of off-roading. I live in Springfield and own a 96 Land Rover Discovery, 2" lift, 32" all-terrains, Hellas, Borla exhaust, Saffari roof rack. I have gotten a couple of waves from jeep guys, i'm hoping your all that friendly!

It's a great group here and i'm sure you'll find some wheeling buddies.

I prolly need to get with you since I have to build my brother in laws LR.  I have been needed a "jig" for some bumpers and stuff.  Are you in Springfield?
I cut sheetmetal for free.  It's fixing it that get's expensive.

I had an 86 Toyota 4x4 two trucks ago. 275,000 miles and couldn't break the thing if I tried.

Yes i'm in Springfield. What do you mean by jig? What model LR is it?

When you are fabricating bumpers and stuff it helps to have a vehicle to build stuff off of to ensure everything fits.  It was a joke.

96 Discovery.  He wants to lift it, tires, custom bumpers, roof rack, winch.  The problem is he is in Nashville, and I am going to have to go get it.

Hey disco. Welcome to the club. You may be joined that weekend also with some fellow rovers. Some members of a rover club in Oklahoma may be down that weekend. Plus i am sure there will be a buggy or two running around.
