What size?
« on: 11/18/05 - 09:31AM »
I have discovered I have to go purchase a high lift jack.  What size should I get?
48 inch, or 60 inch?

I'm running 2.5 inches of lift, and 33 inch tires.

Doesn't it suck to have to buy that kind of stuff.  I'd just go with the 48".  You probably don't want a jack taller than yourself...  :ahhhhh: j/k
I'd put something funny here, but you probably wouldn't get it anyway...

If you are just going to use it for a jack get the 48". If you might have to use it as a winch someday you might want the 60".

YEAH BRAD IT TAKES A REAL MAN TO HANDLE THE ENTIRE 60", YOU BETTER START SMALL AND WORK YOUR WAY UP.  KEEP IN MIND ITS HARD TO GET A HI LIFT UNDER A JEEP TO STRAIGHT THE TIE ROD ARM.

Hey Rick,
If I bend this new tie rod, I'm gonna have bigger problems than a high lift can solve!!!!!!!

I DON'T KNOW, DID YOU EXPLAIN TO CURRIE WHEN PURCHASING IT JUST HOW HARD YOU LIKE TO HIT AND BOUNCE ON THINGS.  IF WE EVER GET TO GO WHEELIN TOGETHER AGAIN, YOU CAN BE OUR TEST VEHICLE FOR IT.
