Dead fuel pump?

Well, I got the d-shaft put back in, and the jeep doesn't want to start. can't hear anything from the tank when I turn the key on (aka I don't hear the fuel pump priming).

Originally I thought I ran the damn thing outta gas, but now maybe it's a dead fuel pump?

well, it wasn't hte fuel pump. apparently when my driveshaft let go, it swung around and crushed 2 of the 4 wires that feed the fuel pump. it was fine when it first happened, but apparently they corroded as it sat there. just kinda spliced some wires in for now, will have to come up with a more "permanent" solution.
