Buggy Basket
« on: 09/24/08 - 09:50PM »
So Judge Dredd was dropped off for us to build a storage basket for it.

Judge Dredd is the first Rogue Quattro chassis that we built.  Luckily a local owns it & I get to see it from time to time still.

The idea behind the basket is Chris wanted to use it to hold his Ice Chest & small tool bags with.
Basic Criteria:  Aluminum, Dimpled Died & piano hinge mount along the coilover crossbar.

I took dimensions yesterday & drew it up on the computer.

Today I put the plan into motion & this is what we came up with.  Follow along & enjoy!

  Pics:

Starting to cut out all of the holes

Machine is cutting the outline now

All Cut & Ready for the next step....Dimple Dies

We took it to the 40 Ton Press Brake & Knocked out all of the Dimples fairly quick

Next step was to bend all four sides up & then weld the seams.

  And it's final resting place
