Abandoned vehicle title?

Has anyone ever tried to get a title for an abandoned antique vehicle in Missouri?

If the vehicle in question is older than 1974 and has not been titled in MO for atleast 5 years, they can help.  I got a title for my 73 FJ-40 and it only cost $150 or so. Easy to use, no questions asked at the DMV.  I now have the truck in my name with absolutely no problems.  Check them out.  Tim.

My FIL and I were looking at getting a 1936 Dodge truck to build a rat rod.  The guy wanted too much for it and doesn't have a title.  Well, now he's realizing it's harder to sell without a title so we may get it for better than he originally wanted.  Went from $750 to $2000 and now he'll take $1000.  I think he bought it for $500.  If we do get it, we won't pay $1000.  Funny thing is the guy is my FIL's son-in-law's dad.

All of the glass is shot out and the grille is gone, but the rest of the body is there and not that bad of shape.  We were going to throw a Mopar V8 and auto with a 9" and beef up the front end and call it good.  Except for tires there wasn't much we were going to buy new.

It kind of sounded like a crock at first but it really did work.  Just be sure of your VIN # and check it 3 more times to be sure.  Hope it works out for you.  Tim

For now, we're not going to buy it, so we've given up on getting a title.
