Wet cell phone tip
« on: 05/18/09 - 01:43PM »
Here's a tip for anyone that gets their cell phone wet.

Friday night at the Bison Ranch trail run I hung my iPhone in the pocket on the inside wall of my tent.  It rained all night and Saturday morning my phone was wet and wouldn't turn on.  When I got home Sunday I held a vacuum cleaner against the holes on the phone for a few minutes and then put it in a bag of uncooked rice and placed the rice in a crock pot with the lid off on the low setting and left it in there all day and all night.  This morning the phone turned on.  The rice and heat drew the moisture out of the phone.

Might save someone from having to buy a new phone.

Good tip that I would have never come up with Mark.

So who else got wet in their tents on Friday?  I know we sure did!

I was the lucky one who put up his tent in the pouring rain!

Amazingly enough, It stayed dry inside with the exception of a damned rain drop that kept hitting me in the forehead! lol

Chinese torture... thats funny.

I stayed in my own bed Friday night so I'm sorry I missed out on all the rain fun.  I stayed in the Chevi-bego on Saturday night. Air matress was flat before I even went to bad. Good thing everyone got me drunk so that I didn't have to worry about the hard truckbed, wait I still remember how miserable I was.

Just be glad you didn't have a fifth wheel ball in the truck bed.  =))

I don't know what you were thinking, but I was asking if his tent had a leak...  8)

I'm glad to know that the name I gave her is sticking!!

Yeah me too, that would have really hurt the back side. Besides, I'm not really into that sort of thing, but by the pictures I saw, you and Bobby are...
