SEARCH AND RESCUE (MAYBE)
« on: 09/24/06 - 10:37PM »
HEAR IS PROOF, DON'T GOING WHEEL AT NIGHT WITHOUT AN EQUIPED RIG AND ALONE.  HEAR ARE PICTURES OF THE ATTEMPED SEARCH AND RESCUE, WILL CONTINUE AS DOUBLE RESCUE AS A POWER STEERING PUMP GAVE IT'S LIFE FOR THE CAUSE.

I GUESS WE COULD MAKE THIS A GEOCACHING FIND, ANY GUESSES AS TO WHERE THIS IS.

Yep, still there... (as of this evening about 8:00pm.) There was a valiant attempt to get big green tied onto the XJ, but after the power steering pump was replaced, there were "jetting issues" w/ the carb. sitting at such a severe angle. Tomorrow, time permitting there wil be another attempt, if all goes as planned, should go off w/o a hitch. I was there, and have seen this "hill", it is a helluva lot steeper than the pictures depict. One trip down and up on foot, and your DONE. Brandon, and Rob for that matter are to be commended for their efforts, I pitched in where needed, but father time got the best of us, as it gets dark rather quickly in those parts of the woods. Oh, and FYI.... the spot is just outside of Reeds Springs, not H/ville. lol. Maybe I'll be available Brandon/Rob, hafta see. Sucks that all the air tanks are at the bottom, won't the bogger be low again? And gas... need more gas.

Welp, e1 is out, and Ryan got to drive his bone stock XJ back to the house.
"Frankenbuggy" is at home now too, "Big Red" will be returning home soon as well, one minor repair to make, and it's good to go. Man what an afternnon that was, huh guys?  :boink:
Ryan, figure this whole forum thing out,  so that you can make your own posts here, as to your feelings going up/DOWN that hill. I'd say "until next time", but there betterdammwell not be one, at least that rough!!  :ahhhhh:

Brandon, can't wait to see what the TSL's will do under that thing, as if it wasn't ballsy enough already! lol Gimme a holler' if ya' need help w/ anything.
