Most of our trail rides have been out at the Southern MO Off Road Ranch (S.M.O.R.R.) while we have been getting ready for the 2nd Annual
Fall 4x Fest on Oct 14-15. It's open to all levels of any 4x4 vehicle. Just no ATV's or dirtbikes at this event. There are some other trails that your friend could take his rig, but there may be a chance for some pinstriping from overgrown limbs and brush. We're going out again this weekend to mark the trails and trim back some more brush, so that will help.
Check out SMORR's site at
www.offrdranch.com for some pics of the place. SMORR is an offroad park, so there is a fee of $10 for driver and $5 for passengers on normal days that there aren't events scheduled.
The other option some talked about is in Disney, OK under the dam for the Grand Lake of the Cherokee's. Most stay at Hogans RV park and play on the trails back in the woods. It's free to wheel, but if you camp at Hogans and break down on the trails, Russ Hogan will tow you out for free.
