58 Willys heater?
« on: 01/16/07 - 09:35PM »
I purchased a 58 willys a few months ago.
It was converted to a 12 volt system.
Does anyone know how to convert the heater fan for the 12v.
Someone before us has stripped all of the wiring out.
So it needs to be wired and a resistor put on.

Go to a decent parts store and get a resisitor that will cut the 12v to 6v. A hot wire from the key will go in one side and then go to the heater switch. You can get a simple rheostat type swith for the heater motor. This will give you differant fan speeds. It's pretty simple and staright forward. These will probably come with instructions and maybe a wiring diagram.
