302 5.0 into a 94 xj

i am thinking about getting a 94 cherokee, and i want to put a 302 into it. what would i have to do to make this work as far as the transfer case. in the xj is the transfer case seperate from the tranny? any info would help. thanks guys

yes, all jeep tranny and t-case are two pieces.
STEP 1: BUILD IT
STEP 2: BREAK IT
STEP 3: REPEAT

advance adapters or novak make adapters for just about everything.

There are allot of options for the motor mounts.  When I was looking at doing the SBC swap into the old XJ that I had it was the exhaust that was going to be the problem.  Headers are expensive for swaps, and cooling is going to be an issue.  There is not allot of room in XJ when you stuff a V8 in there.  Do lots of research and decide how much money you want to spend on it. 
I cut sheetmetal for free.  It's fixing it that get's expensive.
