Chadwick + other places

I am planing on going to chadwick on 12/02 and i was understanding that its free of charge, however the infomation i got from Kay's Store that its 15.00 per vehical charge. Also Where is the best place to ride down there. Im also looking for other places that are free of charge.

Chadwick trails are free to run, just stay off the motorcycle trails.  It's national forest, so the $15 may be if you camp, but i have no idea on that part.  Chadwick is fun, but watch the "puddles".  A couple of them are 4'+ deep.

Jeepman  were  are  you located  there are sevral places  in southwest missouri  and  the  four  state area.. not sure if this  link  will work but  here it  is http://www.brushbeaters.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=55

this is what they told me, that as long as the vechial is licesnced then they would not be a charge, if its not thats the 15.00 charge has anyone heard of it or should i just drive anyway

Chadwick is natl forest. as such the trails out there are treated like a road. meaning as long as you are in a licensed rig and are on a marked trail you are ok. however the motorcycle trails the ones on the right side where the camp grounds are are off limits atvs and motorcycles only.  at least they use to be they will right tickets if you are on that side of the road. take H hwy to Garrison road that is where we wheel down there you should be fine.

There's been 2 large wild fires there in the past couple of days.  Maybe someone should go check out if it's still usable.
