my new lower links
« on: 09/ 9/05 - 03:23PM »
i wanted somethign strong and that i could slide over rocks with and not worry about bending, yet not overly huge and fairly light

i have bent dom and solids and wanted something different. i thought about sliding a smaller dia pipe inside, but thats been done and i wanted to be a bit different.

so this is what i came up with

i dont think these will bend, and i strongly feel they will slide over rocks with ease.

are you wanting a stock length or an extended length set?

i would need the exact lengths you wants and the width of your mounting perches,

i can put a solid mounted flex joint on one end and an adjustable one on the other to give you better flex. i mounted mine with a bushing cause im doing a three link.

if you can get me the exact measurements you need, ill figure up a price for you.

i have had about 10 people ask me to build them some like that, so if they all decide they like the price, i can build all the sets at once and knock off some of the price.  call my shop at 573-346-7707 if i dont answer leave a message and as soon as i get in the office ill call you back

i have also had a request to do a non adjustable lower with the flex joints and instead of the tube, making it a boxed link. instead of square tubing, making the box out of flat stock for more strength.

if i had an old tj lower link to use for reference, id build a couple sets and have someone test them out to make sure they were as strong as i want them to be.

thats just an idea thrown out there

i would need a set for 2 in of lift, i dont think i would need them to be adjustable.

if the price is right, i might be able to come to you so you can take the mesurments your self, and i could test them for ya.

the cost of the joints are 29.99 a piece and 4 will be needed, the steel is not that expensive.

the ends shipping and steel the material cost is about 140.00 for 2 lower links

So you have got my interest.  How much for some for an Xj with the flex joints on both ends.  I am wanting to make a long arm kit and would definately be interested if you can make them within the next month.

Thanks.
