I just got a great deal on a used Warn 8274, & was wondering if anyone had ever fabricated a lower profile mount/bumper for one. I would need to extend the current bumper forward around 9.5" in order to clear the frame crossmenber, and i am unaware of the feasability of this.
Th' Tan Jeep is a 1988 YJ. My main concern is not making something that weighs as much as the rest of my jeep, and i was just wondering if i should knuckle down & buy the proper warn made mount, and just use my current light weight bumper.
Any help would be appreciated, and thanks for letting me into your forums, i have been scouring them to get ideas for future projects.
