4 WHEEL JAMBOREE NATIONALS.....

SURE WAS NICE TO SEE THE BRUSH BEATERS TRAVEL THE DISTANCE AND BE A PART OF A LOCAL EVENT.....DONT THINK I SAW TOO MANY PEOPLE FROM OUR GROUP OUT????

since they stopped doing the rock crawl, I don't really care to go anymore...

but on another note...

I heard Phil from Wilderness4x4 smoked the competition in the tough truck.   :335_BS1_gold_cup:

He definitely did, I saw him beforehand and got to watch. He made the other guys look pretty pathetic  :icon_cheers:
This year seemed a lot smaller than last year, but i guess that shouldn't be surprising. It was still fun.

Ronnie,

I'm sure attendance was down this year, the weather was supposed to be nasty as predicted, and a lot of us have jeeps we're working on to get ready for the Members Run next weekend. 

I've been to it most years since I was in High School, and this year just didn't seem to have anyones interest in going.

I wanted to go but my boys birthday party was Saturday and Sunday was pouring down rain and didn't want to get him out in it since he had just got over being sick.

Otherwise we'd have been there.  I think some of our usual members that go to this were out of town for a real competition????

Does the Tough Truck pay out to winners, or just a trophy?  If it's a cash payout then I guess it's a real comp too.  If it's just a trophy, then it's not much different than peewee soccer.  Granted I don't have the equipment to compete, so I can say anything I want... all it takes is money... that I don't have.  I'm not saying I could win even if I had the money either.
