GLADETOP CLEANUP/RUN
« on: 11/ 7/06 - 08:31AM »
Yes it's that time of year again, (somehow we missed it the last few years, oh well) where we all come together as a group and head for the Mark Twain Nat Forest.  Fall is the prettiest time for Gladetop.  In the past we have always tried to make a run down there.  Since we havent been in a few years it might be a little grown up, so you will need to bring some loppers (NO CHAINSAWS).

The only time I can think of would be Dec 2nd or after the first of the year.

It would have to be after the first of the year for me, as well.  I just have a lot going on between now & then.  Don't forget, Disney run is the first weekend in January.

Are you allowed to run trail rigs only, or do they have to pass state inspection with license and insurance?

Would love to help out depending on the date.

I'm in with Bradman.  But, as well as Bradman, with the holidays and work, after the first of the year will be better for me.

What's it like out at the 'Glades?  Is it good for a Full size stock rig?  What kind of tools should we bring?  no Chainsaws because of state legislations?

Have a great week,

it can be full size friendly but it has a been a few years since we have done much there. it was pretty grown up then. it was actually closed to motor veh. for several years the way I understand it.to the no chain saw question. in order to run a saw in nat forest you have to go to a safety class put on by the forestry dep. then you have to get a permit to cut fire wood and can only use the saw in designated fire wood cutting areas. limb looper's and a bow saw maybe a muchetie is all that is needed.

**disclaimer**   the information stated above is just the way I  understand it I may be wrong I have been before if I am some one will correct me
