Family Jeepster project pics
« on: 01/ 7/06 - 02:14AM »
Since my TJ has become a competition/fair weather only rig I have been looking for something big enough to take the family on trail runs.

A local bank ended up with this 68 Jeepster Commando after repossessing a piece of property.  I offered $300 and they took it so this will become the family trail rig.  It looks to be in pretty good shape but there are no keys so I have no idea if it even runs.

hahaha I love it!! I bet with a few new parts it will run just fine. What are your plans for it?

I'm thinking maybe some D44 axles, spring over, 35" tires, new seats mounted to a family roll cage.  If the drive train needs help I will probably swap in a 4.3 V6 and an auto.

Once I get it home I will see what kind of shape it is really in and decide then how quickly changes will be made.

As far as the body goes I think Jeep patriot blue would look good.
