local shop that repairs PC's?
« on: 12/ 4/08 - 10:21AM »
My son has a 4 year old PC with a bad power supply.  Any local PC shops around that can swap one out without charging an arm and leg?

I could do it for about $50, but St. Louis isn't local.   :17:

If the computer is just a stock 4 year old setup you should MOST definitely be able to get the part (probably a 200Watt or less power supply) and labor for $50 or under from any of the repair shops here in SPFD, if they say more that are full of crap, and I wouldn't deal with them. ... The higher the wattage the more it's going to cost, I'm running a 650 watt supply in mine and it was only $80...  The labor itself is nothing more than a 5 minute swap... if it takes them longer than 5 minutes they are idiots.
