Lifting My ZJ.
« on: 05/20/09 - 06:10AM »
I have a 96' ZJ and I am wanting to lift it. I am thinking of taking some ZJ front v8 coil springs and puting them in the place of my 4.0 front coil springs. And move the front 4.0 coil springs to the rear. Is there anything besides shocks I should worry about?

Shocks, brake lines, and driveshaft.  I really don't think that the driveshaft will be a problem but those are the "normal" things to check.
I cut sheetmetal for free.  It's fixing it that get's expensive.

I just finished up doing my coil spring lift on my ZJ! The lift was purdy amazing of the cost! $50.00 for some used coil springs off a v8 ZJ for my 4.0 ZJ. The only real big problem I had with doing this was the stupid tiny shock and brake braket nuts! I got about 2" of lift.
