Keyless entry programing
« on: 11/21/11 - 02:19PM »
The Cherokee I just purchased didn't come with a keyless entry remote, it was to the dealer and verified that it originally came with keyless entry. The dealer wanted $110 for a new remote and $95 to reprogram it. I say they are nutts!  Can anyone tell me what remotes will work on a 98 xj? I'm planning on checking around for a used one that's not to expensive. I also would like to know how to program the jeep to except a new remote if I can find one. If anyone has or know where I can find one, I'd appreciate any help.
Street Trail is sweet!

kevin,
Havn't used them for a jeep yet, but I have gotten a couple of remotes for A BMW from keylessride.com.  They sent me programming information and a remote to fit my Bimmer and it worked great, you might check them out.
