Is it steel cable or synthetic?

Steel.  With roller fairlead.  Here are the details on the winch:

Is that enough winch for a 4-door JK?

Yes.  I don't think you would have a problem with a 4 door.   I have several local customers that have put them on 4 doors and heavier rigs with no problems.
