how much does it usually cost to have an axleshaft cut down and resplined?

I had 2 done for my rear 44 a few months ago for $250 or something like that. It was less than half the cost of alloys. I understand the reason alloys are more, but i just couldn't afford to pay for them at that time.

This is what I found when I looked at changing bolt patterns, they do axle resplining too.
