Progress pics from tonight.  I pulled out the diff, cut off the old pan, ground down the inside, welded on the pretty new "Shaved" pan and then began assembling the axle.  Nothing ever goes back together as easy as it comes apart. :-\

I gotta say, the plasma cutter makes it nice and quick!

Then, a little welding, a little grinding and Wallah! Nice and smooth...

Looks like very nice work on the cross member.  Was there no way to build it in a way to give you a flat skid?  Seems as though that (4" guessing) drop would be a PIA for breakover.  I do realize that its' not that big of a deal when your running 44"+ tires just wondering.

more pics!

I still have a lot to do.  I have not hooked up the steering on either axle.  I still have panhards to build.  I have to finish some welding and grinding.  Still need to cut the driver side rear fender out.  I still need to do some trimming on the front fenders.  etc. etc. etc.

Didn't flex very high.  My front fender was all over the 44.  No panhards so I didn't feel safe to keep going since the coils and the 1 link were the only thing holding the body to the axles.

More to come!   ;D

Its looking good. I have some 3/4 heims with jams and threaded bungs if you need them. I have enough for your front and rear panhards.

a little trimming and some finalizing and that thing should go anywhere you need it to.
