YJ Exhaust Manifold confusion
« on: 10/12/13 - 02:59PM »
I have a 95 YJ that I bought in January. A few months after I bought it it started whistling while driving. A few people have told me it was the exhaust manifold causing the noise and that it probably has a hole in it. I finally got around to buying the part for it. On the arrival of the part I went out and looked at my Jeep and realized it's not the right fit for the way the exhaust system is set up. I'd really like it if someone who has experience with YJ exhaust systems could take a look at it for me and tell me how to fix it for cheap(I'm poor). Thanks!

Here's an album!

The replacement looks correct for your jeep, however the one on it is unlike any I've worked on before. I'm guessing it was a replacement designed to reduce cracks by splitting into two pieces. I'd take to exhaust shop ask for quote to install yours and make your exhaust mount up to the single collector instead of duals.
Is it possible for a jeep to ever truely be finished?

Only the dead have seen the end of war---Plato
