August 17th we will be going wheeling at SMORR. We will be doing stocker friendly trails so if you haven't been out ever, or just in a while and want a mild day of wheeling with a group to make sure you get home this is your chance.
Meet at Home Depot at 7:30 depart at 8:00 AM.
Plan for lunch at the pavillion.
Please let me know if you are going to come out and wheel with us.
-
We're in!!
-
Game on! Bob the Jeep needs some trail time. I'm in.
-
Well, since I still don't have the LJ axle issues cured, this might be a good time to get 'High Ho' out on the trail. We haven't run it at SMORR in a long time. I'll say we're in.
-
We should be there unless someone else has plans for me
-
Count me in!
-
I'll be able to come for the morning half. Gotta work that afternoon.
-
Were in.
-
We are in! :101:
-
I'll be out of town, what timing.
-
The zj will be there! I am ready to get some rocks under my tires!

I'll most likely be there.

I assume this is the Home Depot by Fazoli's, in Springfield.
Plan for lunch at the pavillion.
I assume this is a sack-lunch type of thing.
I could probably make it (although that's getting up butt-early in the morning to drive from Branson.
Hehehe...

You can meet us at SMORR if you like. We usually come back to the top of the park where the tow rigs and lunch shack are for lunch.
-
I'll most likely be there.
Never mind. Gave up my time off request after it was already accepted.
Another guy at work needed it more than me.
-
Well, I got the axle(s) 'fixed', again in our semi-stock LJ javascript:void(0); I definitely need a shake down run so I think we'll go down Friday, camp & wheel both days for the stocker-friendly run. Anyone else thinking about camping (Tony??)?
-
I hope the trails aren’t too washed out from all the rain.
-
Chris brings up a good point. I ask everyone to keep in mind all the rain we have had and are continuing to have that will alter the trails we run.
Myself and any other guides will do our best to keep groups moving, but new obstacles may appear that will take minimal time to deal with.
-
The weather just means all the trails will be an adventure for even the SMORR veterans.
-
Ok Greg so in case of extremely deep water everyone park on BOB for a jeep preservation device.
-
Like you had to actually give that instruction? Everyone does that anyway.
-
Poor bob :(
-
It looks like the weather is going to be awesome for this run! We're planning on going down Friday morning for a long weekend (gotta' take advantage of this kind of weather!).
-
Great guys, I'll be there Friday evening to do some wheeling. I will not be camping, because some of my friends need to stay at the Inn @ Seymour. As a foot note, Alexis' Father and Grandfather are trying their best to attend.
-
If Alexis' father or grandfather will be in attendance for sure please let us know. That may be a good time to provide them the funds we've raised so far and the $500 the club voted to donate.
All those on this thread, don't forget we'll be passing a hat at this run for Alexis. It looks to be good weather according the forecast. Let's get a large group on the ride, have some fun and provide some much needed support to a little girl and her family struggling with a horrible disease.
-
Watching the weather, this is going to be one nice weekend! Judy has to babysit so she is out, but one of my grandsons jumped at the chance to go (again!).
We're going Friday morning, be there before noon. Anyone else going Friday and camping?
-
I spoke with Brandon and the park will be open this weekend. He said he will have the cook shack open for lunch, HOWEVER you must place your order when you are checking in that morning. It will not be open for breakfast or for dinner.
He also mentioned they had received just over 20 inches of rain and the trail conditions were uncertain but jeeps should be able to use the main roads even with the wash outs.
Hope to see everyone out there.
-
I have to work till 2:00 but I am going to try and come out after that.
-
Alexis had to be readmitted to St. Judes, so her father and grandfather will not be able to attend. They send their thanks and appreciation.
-
I'm in, & I will be passing a hat once again for Alexis.

I'm sorry to hear that. Our thoughts & prayers are with her and her family.
-
I echo wheat MoPrinter said, I hope and pray that the hand of our great creator is felt, and that she gets to feeling better real soon.
-
Still meeting at Home Depot (one by Fazolis) at 7:30?
I'll be coming from Branson, so don't leave without me.
Hehehe...
Will everything be dried out?
I'll go naked if mud won't get everywhere.
I've been out of the country (cruise), so I haven't seen the weather the last week.

Yes, still meeting at Home Depot at 7:30, i dont't think anyone has been to the park since we got all the rain, i am sure there will be some mud but not sure how much.
-
What a blast! I think everyone had a good time, (some more than others$$$!). It was great to see some of the new members get a feel for what their Jeeps can do. For all the rain Brandon had previously, the park was in great shape (I know he had a lot of dozer work done to get some of the trails back in shape). Great turn out (someone said 15+ Jeeps?).
-
I counted 21 jeeps
-
I had a great time, until lunch when I broke my Jeep.
Hehehe...
It was nice meeting some of you.
A big thanks to Chris for towing and wrenching and to Ken for letting me ride shotgun.

What kind of carnage did you have JJ?
-
ring and pinion, unit bearings, carrier, what else jj?

I don't know all the ins-and-outs, but...
I'm replacing both front wheel bearings and u-joints.
Apparently, my front differential gear is kind of trashed.
Chris said that he could just take it out and leave me in 2WD.
I'm not much interested in spending hundreds of dollars to go back off-road, at the moment.
JJ
-
That's the basics, the pinion nut backed ofc and the gear rubbed the carrier so jj needs a dana30 carrier for low gears if someone has one sitting around

Or a 44?
Hehehe...
I don't know pricing differences, but can you just swap the gear and housing or would it require a whole new axle and stuff?
JJ
Edit...

I don't know any of your nicknames, so I don't know who I'm talking to.
