How do I get rid of those awful dealer decals?

This ought to be easy. My dealer (from Tulsa, not Springfield) used some god awful gold thing that looks like you-know-what.

Use a hairdryer? Can it be that simple? I'm leery of chemicals for fear of stripping or staining the paint. That would be much worse.

Use a hair dryer but don't get REAL close to the paint.  Just stay back and slowly heat it up and apply pressure to remove it.

If it's a big plastic emblem thing, heat up like Aaron said and take some dental floss and pull under the emblem to remove.  Then get some good adhesive remover to clean it up.  Then wax the area.
I'd put something funny here, but you probably wouldn't get it anyway...

You can slide a body filler spender under it when it's warm. JIM

I've used the Eraser before on a friends truck.  It works pretty well when the hair dryer deal doesn't.

You can buy an eraser wheel at O'reilly's. I think they cost about $30 though.
