Title: Same ol SOA question
Post by: BIGGRHAMMR on 07/31/06 - 09:11AM
Just bought a yj (94), this weekend, it's got 31.5" tires on it, and I like them.  Will a SOA be too tall of a lift for these?  I'd like some growing room, but I also don't want to look like a idiot.  As it is I couldn't climb over a possum witout rubbing I imagine. Also, is Southwest 4x4s kit ok, or do I need to look elsewhere?  I want my wife to be comfortable driving it too. (It will sadly see more pavement than dirt)

Got a link to the SW 4x4 kit?  Never heard of it.

a spring over would not look bad, however a 3-4 inch spring under kit would be better for your situation in my opinion.

the soa will provide alot of flex, enough lift, but will cause other issues.

by the time you do a spring over correctly, a hundred or so more dollars and you could have a nice quickly installed sua lift kit. the kit will have everything you need and should run almost 500. most spring overs run around 350-450 to be done right.

since your jeep will see more road than dirt go with a soft sua lift.

i have done many in my area and for that size tire thats what i would recommend, especialy if the wife drives em.

id get in touch with kevin at 4wheelers supply and he can hook you up and get you one in quick
