The destination will be picked by the president and announced the day of the event. all are encouraged to attend
-
OK, I'm in on this one. First one for the rubi after the lift.
-
Nice pick on the date Roger....
I'll be there assuming I still live here.
-

-

-
Yes
I mean the fellow's name.
-
Ok here is the deal this is president choice. he will not announce the location until the day off the event. so we will meet at the WALMART super center on WEST SUNSHINE plan to leave between 7:30 and 7:45. be prepared for a no more than a hour and a half of driving (food, drinks, and gassed up) post up if you plan to attend
-
Hunter and I will be there.

I'll be there.

Jenn and I are in fellas!
-
just a few days out.
-
not going to make it... gonna be working on my camper all weekend.
Have fun! Someone take pics and I'll make a gallery for them!
-
Well I guess I won't make it either. Some of my Cajun buddies from Monroe, LA are coming up, going to Disney. I told 'em if they'd bring me some 37" Krawlers I bought from down there, I'd meet them in Disney, so I've conned 'Mr. Safety' to load up the Prevost & both of our Jeeps & we're leaving at sun up Friday morning for the weekend. Hope you guys have a good Prez-day run.
-
Don't know who all is coming... Myself, Ackerman's, Roger, Love's, and Jim is supposed to try out the rubi.
-
I'm still planning on being there.
-

I am ready! But i don't put out on the first date!
-
I've installed what most would call A LOT of lift kits, how bad could you be off on the arms? Did you not measure center to center and then adjust for appropriate lift based on stock arms? ::)
-
That would be no. I ASSumed they were set right when i bought them used, But that was wrong of me.
I am planning on taking it in to the shop monday and getting everything aligned properly.
-
Well that sucks. Even with new adjustable arms it's good to check them.
-
Well we had a good turnout today, thanks to Brandon for opening up the park to us.
I'd like to thank everyone for hanging out and helping out with my breakage today. I don't know what everyone elses is, but mine is as follows:
1 dana 44 knuckle BROKEN
2 ball joints now shot
1 stub axle junk
1 inner axle broken
1 spicer joints demolished
-
And Aaron needs to add that it was at the beginning of the FIRST trail. Hail to the President!!! (or is it HELL). Jim dented the new Ruby and punctured the sidewall of a tire. I think that is about it. We all had a good time. I have a few pics to post. Aaron, sorry to hear about all the carnage on yours. Is it time for a shop day? I'd like to learn how to replace ball joints and such.
-
Sure Jay I'll teach you, you supply the new knuckle and other parts.... I'm debating doing it the same time I install the 4:88's I have laying here for it.
Right now I'm having budget constraints so may take a bit before we have that day.
-
I hear you, are you going to set up your own gears? Remember, I still need that done too. Its my understanding that it takes FOREVER to do yourself. When I can afford it, I am taking mine to someone to do. But I have a kid due in a couple of weeks, so those gears have become diapers and such.
-
Aaron, sorry about the jeep. when you do finally get you parts we could do a wrench day here at my garage, but it would be a real pain to load it back on the trailer to bring it over here. I hope you still had a good B-day.
I post some pics under my gallery. When Jimmy setup a Gallery I will move them.
-
Here is Aaron's famous knuckle snapping technique... :P

More video's to come!
-
nice vidio. but it was a knucle not a tie rod
Asorry but your carnage today
-
Always hate it when someone ends up broke, but other than that it was a good time.
-
THANKS FOR ALL THE HAPPY BIRTHDAY WISHES!
It's only a lot of carnage guys. Part of wheeling, and we all know that.
I'll setup my own gears since I'm now doing it at work all the time and it's gotten a lot easier and I'm much better at it thanks to Kevin.
We'll find some place to have a wrench day, just not sure about how to get it there, right now i'm trying to locate shafts etc.
Now I'm gonna watch the video of it.
-
Adam please edit the title of the video... I broke a steering knuckle, 2 axle shafts and a u joint LOL.
I'd say change the tie rod to dana 44 knuckle or something.... my tie rod is fine!
-
sheesh!
I will fix it when the other videos finish uploading... Friggin youtube is taking FOREVER!
-
It's funny how in the video I bail off the rock when Aaron starts mashing on it.
I had a great time. Looking forward to the next one.

It looks like everyone had a good time, but Aaron. Sure wish I could have been there, but the way Aaron talked he had plenty of help. You guys are a great bunch to wheel with and thats why I travel with OJT and not some other club that I tried out.
Hope to see all of you at the Bison Ranch!!

Videos look great.
So what broke on the knuckle, was it where the balljoint is held in?
-
The casting behind the ball joint is what broke. Which lead to failure of everything else, and the axles went because of how we had to recover the jeep.
