Title: Need help with 4 link terminology
Post by: Kevin J Smith on 12/ 6/16 - 04:11AM
I hope this is the correct place for this. I am planning on installing a 4 link suspension under my YJ. I found a calculator and added the measurements i came up with, but i don't know what the resulting numbers mean. Does anyone know where i might find this info? I don't want to build a suspension not worth having.

thats a hard question.  4 link setup is very tricky.  If you do a triangulated 4 link.  You might try and call ork diesel and pick Levi's brain a little.

I appreciate the info, but after some more research, i think I'll go with a SOA conversion.

If you are going to SOA then you may look at shackle reversal at the same time.  It will definitely improve ride quality, and if you are already doing all that fab.  Just a suggestion.

I'm doing a shackle reversal. I'm building the entire frame. I made repairs to the factory frame in the past, but all I'm doing is chasing rust.
