Title: Welcome New Members
Post by: LoneWolf on 04/ 9/08 - 11:45AM
By request... here is the "Introductions Board".

If your new to the site or even been here for a while and never formally introduced yourself, this is the place to do so.

Introduce yourself, tell us about your rig... even if it's not a Jeep, we want to hear about it.

About myself...

Names Jimmy and I have a 2005 Rubicon, too many mods to list (look at my profile (http://ozarksjeepthing.com/c/index.php?action=profile;u=518)), but the basics are 6 inches of lift, TR beadlocks wrapped with 35" BFG Krawlers, Warn winch,  and custom flame paint job.

I build websites for a living, single dad, love God, guns and country... and jeeps.

I'll start.

Names Brad.

78 CJ7.  350/400/300 Twin-sticked.  Custom lift with shackle reversal.  Looks like a mildly built rig on 35's.  No, it isn't done yet.

I do CADD design work on AutoCad, Inventor, and Solidworks for a regular job.

I fabricate cages, rockers, bumper/tire carries and anything else out of my garage to supplement my Jeep addiction costs.

Oh yeah, I am also Vice-President of the club this year.

Who are you?

My name is Aaron

My jeep is a 93 YJ:  Spring over axle, 44 front, 60 rear, dana 300, custom cage, 36" Iroks on H2's.  It's also dovetailed awaiting paint (pics in fabricators forum).

I'm currently a student @ MSU with a double major in Finance & Marketing Management.

I'm club President this year.

Figured I'd put one of these up since I was the "person who requested it".  If you have any concerns please feel free to PM me.

Name's Dick.  I'm the Dir. of Events.

My Heep is a '88 YJ with a few inches of lift, on 35s.  Spring under axle & genuine sheepskin seat covers.  Currently torn apart to put a 44 in the front & change the bolt pattern on the XJ 44 in the rear to 6 on 5.5".  A bunch of other crap done to it, but i can't think of it all, at the moment.

Welcome everyone.

This goes out for my husband my HERO!

My name is Shawn, yes I am female, but my father wanted a boy really bad. I have an 87 YJ, we bought it 2 years ago and my husband has done a complete overhaul just for me! Took an 88 Dodge Ram charger drivetrain and stuck it underneath the Jeep, spring over axle conversion, about 10 inches of lift, 35 14.50 Pitbull Rockers, smittybuilt winch, and we can't wait to try the trails, and I'm excited to see what the first part will be that I break! :P

my name is Ryan...and im a jeep adict.  i currently have two jeeps and plan to acquire more in the near future(mainly when it dries up and i can get a trailer on my friends property)
I am part owner of Sea Tow Table Rock Lake. we tow boats and recover sunken boats which can be fun.
I like, well more like obsessed, to wheel but the only jeep i have that runs just happens to be the company jeep(aka my dad's) so i got sick of fixing up his jeep instead of mine, so i dont get to wheel it as often as id like. He put a 4 in lift on it with 33 in ATs, and a winch. i have put tube fenders, oil pan skid, belly up skid, gas tank skid, SYE, Tom Woodds drive shaft, RE upper control arms, CB, rock lights, and lockers front and rear, and fixed anything i break as well as keep it maintained.  so i consider it my own and treat it as such.

My jeep is a CJ5. So i will have something to thrash when its finished.

Thats my problems, lets here the rest
wow it feels good to get that off my chest.

LATA

My name is Alex

I go to school and have two part time jobs. (j.ust e.mpty e.very p.ocket) I have a 90 YJ that is red with a tan top with a 4 banger. It has a 4 inch lift on 33" Mickey Thompson mtz's and american racing wheels. I also have a cobra cb, Hi lift mounted on the hood, beard seats, Custom exhaust, And some other little stuff. Oh and some stickers. Im 17 and this jeep is my first vehicle, i love it and have had it a year. I cant beleive some of the stuff that the jeeps can do, it can make ya pucker. I feel pretty lucky to have my jeep and to have it as my own, couldnt imagine driving anything else. Must be a "jeep thing". As far as the future goes a stinger has been ordered, wanting Phantom fenders really bad and hopefully It will undergo a axle swap this summer. I cant wait for more upgrades it is addicting. My goal is to become more involved with ojt but the job hours are holding me back :marteau:, I wish i could come to more meetings.

See ya around,

I love my jeep, and really enjoy being a member of OJT.

I work for a property managment company in Branson that keeps me over worked, and under paid, but I find time to wheel when I can.

Title: Toyota Convert
Post by: Jacon on 07/ 9/08 - 01:31AM
You guys have a Toyota Convert on your hands. I have been wheeling 1st gen Toyota trucks and 4 runners for about 5 years. I am tired of buying 22re motors and am not ready to do a huge build. Have to wait for my wife to retire for that one. So in light of my latest engine taking a dump on me in my 4 Runner I bought a '05 Rubicon. I love it, and may never wheel another Toyota. I live in Saint Robert and go to school full time while my wife is on drill duty. I have two sons and love to be in the woods wheelin, camping, or riding 4wheelers. I like to trail ride mostly, and don't like trying to break stuff so you won't see me get crazy. I would like to go on a run with some of you soon.

Hi all,
My name is Dennis and I am on my second jeep now. My first was a '99 TJ Sport that I got brand new and traded in for a Avalanche in 2005.  My wife and I finally decided to get another Jeep and got a used 2004 TJ.  It has a 4.0L and 31" tires.  As far as other specs it has I have to figure them out.  I plan on doing a lot of mods to this Jeep, since I wasn't able to with my old one. I want to get into wheeling with it.  I am a computer programmer by day and a softball junky by night and somewhere in between them I want to add Jeepaholic.

Cya all.

Hello everybody, this is my first jeep KJ, got it about a year ago.  I can't stop driving it.  Is there a secret to keep it under 30+k/yr?  So far it's been wheel'n in some mountains in Texas, some mountains in Virginia, and of course our back yard the ozarks.  I look forward to seeing more of you in future rides.

I've been lurking here for a while.  Never actually introduced myself.  My name is Tim.  I've been into wheelin since I got my first XJ and tossed some 31's on it.  It wasn't long after that that the rig morphed into a leaf-sprung, full width, stretch wheelbase, chop top beast that it became.  It had a 383 and a ton of mods.  Was my first build and kinda hacked, but it held together and wheeled great.  I've had a few XJs since.  Currently I built an XJ for the wife.  93, 4.5" rustys spring lift, rubicon express drop brackets, currie & rubicon control arms, Round headlights (oh yeah, i said it), and 33x12.5s on black street locks.  You might've seen it, bright red and it has the american flag mural in the back.  I have an 8.8 in the back yard and an Auburn Ected locker in the garage going into it.  Also just put on the Daystar front bumper and have some sliders waiting in line.
I sold MY last xj because the commute to work was getting expensive.  I now drive a honda but only until my other toy is done.  It is a 73 Toyota FJ-40 that has been in the works for around 5 years now.  Almost done.  A LOT of work in this one.  Here's a link to a build thread on it.  http://forum.ih8mud.com/40-55-series-tech/187533-about-time-i-did-buildup-thread.html
We are actually getting ready to move to CO after the first of the year.  I'm going out there to get my engineering degree from UCCS.  Well, that and stretch the legs of the 40 and XJ.  Right now I work at Sportsland in Rogersville...  Woo hoo...  kinda burnt out on it, boss wont let us do too much fun stuff.  Mainly camper shells, nerf bars, bug shields, blah, blah, blah.  I do come across soome pretty good deals now and then being in the industry.  Usually try to throw em up on here first.  Don't want you guys to think I'm just some ass peddling goods on your site.

I've tried to make it to a meet & greet a few times but something always comes up.  Maybe sometime before I leave.  Thats about it for now.  There are a few pics of the XJ' on Myspace.  http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewPicture&friendID=80843398&albumId=2425689

Otherwise, that's about it.  Hope to wheel with yas sometime.  Tim

Welcome Tim, real good looking rigs... Hope to see em out on the trail sometime. I see the red Cherokee (with the flag in the window) parked 2 houses up from me quite often. If you ever see me out, feel free to come down and bs a bit. Looks like alot of work on that FJ40 .. it looks real good. congrats.

Eric, I am on Fort Leonard Wood at MANSCEN. I just traded for a 2008 Detonator Yellow X Unlimited this week. We are having an install party at the auto craft shop on 10 January 09 at 10am if you can make it by there. There are a couple of JK-Forum members (around 6 rigs) coming from all over to do some lift and fender trimming on the JK's
