CTDs are like cocaine, but 1st Gens are crack.
Met a guy in Tulsa & sold the Furd, Friday. Flew to DFW & met a guy. Drove it home.

You now have the biggest, baddest Dodge Diesel of all the OJT Dodge boys. :P Congrats, you've out done them all.
-
Looks like it should do the job. Did you figure out what the guy was talking about on the tranny? Is it a TQ lockup or an overdrive?

No clue, yet. It got pretty decent fuel economy on the way home. But, if it's anything like the toggle switch for the a/c compressor, the horn-button-on-the-dash, & the custom-I-zed rear bumper, it's just a "presidential priority" repair. More than likely it'll need the TPS or PCM replaced. It works as-is now, though, so i'll be dropping cash on the more pressing items, like tires, windshield & chrome ladies for the mud flaps. :icon_pimp:

Well if i Said its nice I'd be fibbing but I bet it will be. I just traded my 2001 Gen II 1 Ton for a 2007 Gen III (5.9L) 2500. My 01 was a 2WD Dually but my 07 is a SRW 4wd. Bad thing about my truck is I have only had it about 2 weeks, have not even made a payment and I got Hit in the front Passenger Side Sat......
Your gonna love he CTD over the Ferd anyway and any day. I can tell you that Gen I is going to be pretty loud.

Man, that is one big smoking pile of...
Cool!!
Now, put some stacks on it, 12" lift and some trucker wheels and you're set. Oh yeah, dual CB antennaes too! I'm so glad the Mega Cab dually's have fenders like the Gen1 dually trucks.
-
man you could pull, Aaron, Larry, Brad & Tom around all day with that beast... >:D
-
Ya Dick go ahead I'll hookup whenever your ready! Lets see how long it takes to blow up an auto!

Aaron,
I thought he meant just pulling your fat asses around all day... in the cab.
-
Dick your truck probably weighs 1/2 ton more and you have twice the tread on the ground.. he ain't gonna budge ya. :78: >:D
-
He out weighs us. However his truck has a few different tread designs none of which have much depth. LOL.
-
Not my first 1st gen, fred. Very familiar with them. Wouldn't own a 24v, too much BS & wires hooked to them. Aaron, unless you got your new lift pump in, you won't be pulling much of anything, LOL. :deadhorse:
No lifts, no stacks, no twin sticks. Had it straight-piped today & picked up a factory CD player from the bone yard. Might tint the windows, might put some chrome ladies on the mud flaps, for sure going to put the same ol' CB antennae on this one that was on the '91. & the bronze prospector will have a new home after the hood gets painted. Needs a new seat, too. The springs are hitting the floor. Looking for a '99-'08 reg. cab seat.
-
ordered the new FASS pump last night!
-
NICE! You going to use it for upcomming run?
-
What upcoming run? I'll put it and my gauges in whenever I find time. Freaking jeep build is killing my dodge time!
-
big Dodge, should be able to pull something LOL.
-
Looking good amigo, a helluva lot better than the Ferd!!!
-
I like....
big,
ugly,
and has a wide ass,

you had to be easy with them, but they got the job done!!
