Since we will be traveling quite a ways both in September and October, we are going to do something a little different in August.
We are planning on doing a "cruise" to Cassville in the morning. Once we get there, many options will be available. The kids can play at the grounds at the national forest, people can hit a trail or two if they want (may or may not be guided), and Pea Ridge is a short drive away. I haven't been there, but have been told it is a really cool Civil War Battlefield area (over 10x the size of Wilson's Creek). Somewhere in there we plan on eating lunch in the Cassville area.
As for the drive down, we will take a scenic route, perhaps highway 86.
I know it's not wheeling, but I thought it might interest some of the folks who don't really want to wheel all of the time; or for some reason or the other can't wheel right now (like broken jeeps) :-)
This will be Saturday, August 22nd. We will plan on leaving the WalMart Supercenter on West Bypass and Sunshine at 9:00 AM.
Thanks,
Bobby
