(Front) D-60 for my LJ
« on: 01/25/11 - 03:56PM »
I've found a Dana 60 front for a good price.  Wondering if this would be a good candidate for narrowing & installing into my '05 LJ.  It's out of an '08 Ford Superduty, stock, (with unit bearings, not king pin).  Anybody know what I'm up against as far as leaving driver side alone, cutting down the pass. side.  I would put a locker in & re-gear regardless, and I'd like to change it to 5 on 5-1/2.  Is it worth it?  Thanks!

I think they did something exactly like this in one of the recent issues CRAWL.
First you crawl, then you walk, then you drive, then you crawl again....

Not a bad one to start with but far from the best.  The steering on the new housings is kind of a pain and expensive if you want to crossover high steer.
