Truck review
« on: 05/30/11 - 03:29PM »
I am looking at a 2003 Ford F-150 Supercrew, FX4, with the 4.6 V-8.

Has anybody ever had any experiences with this truck? Good, or bad.

The only things that worry me, are the smaller V-8, and it has 106,000 miles.

Opinions please!

Step up to the 5.4, same or better mileage and more power.

I would have liked to find a 5.4, but I am not having any luck finding a 4 door 5.4 with miles under 150,000. The heaviest thing I will ever pull is a pontoon boat, so I think the 4.6 will be enough. It does have a AIRAID intake on it, and I am planning on exhaust, and some other bolt-on parts to gain some power and MPGs.

Have you tried autotrader? There are tons of them for under 15K within 500 miles.
