jeep electrical problems
« on: 06/ 2/11 - 11:16AM »
A girl who works with me says she is have some electrical problems and says that is kind of common? She has a 98 cherokee. Gauges messing up and stuff like that. Acts like a short in the wiring harness or something. Does anyone know someplace good to work on that kind of thing? I told her I would ask, thanks.

It may be something as simple as cleaning up all of the connections to the harness and the grounds.  I have a 2000 cherokee motor in my wrangler and it was cutting out and doing some other weird things with the gauges that made me think the computer was bad.  Cleaning all of the connections and replacing the grounding straps fixed everything.  May be worth the time before sinking money into it.
