A/C on 2007 Jeep Wrangler X
« on: 06/13/12 - 02:49PM »
I just bought a 2007 Jeep Wrangler X and the A/C was blowing cool, definitely not cold.  Added a little A/C Pro Cold into the system like the instructions said and now it is blowing warner then when I started.  Looking at the compressor now and and it comes on, runs for a couple of seconds and then shuts off.  Does this mean it has too much refrigerant in it?  If yes, how do you release some?  Anyone here have a shop that I can take it to, to get it fixed and charged for a decent price?

without gauges you don't know how much is in it. you can take a little out on the low pressure side that is the fat line it has a little valve like wants in or tire just take the cap off and push down don't breathe in the Freon.

Had it tested and it needs the expansion valve replaced.  Having it done tomorrow.
